We don’t need more Doomsdays;
we need more Life-days —
days we turn the dark fragrant soil and plant seeds with our kin,
days we spend sharing songs and tending each other’s gardens,
days we walk the land together and talk story and split fruit.

While we’re at it, we need more Life-nights —
nights we keep tender vigil for the birthing and the dying,
nights we dance and deliver our illusions to the Great Mystery,
nights we hold each other’s hearts and hands and dream of those yet still to come.

It’s time for us to move together in the humble ways that most glorify Life.
